A newborn session isn't just about taking pretty pictures, it’s about freezing those impossible to hold details in time, so you can revisit exactly how tiny they once were whenever you look at your walls.
Bringing the Studio Experience to You
For the past seven years, I have worked inside traditional photography studios, mastering the delicate art of professional newborn posing and lighting. Something I often heard from new parents, is that packing up a bag, coordinating feeding schedules, and traveling to a studio with a days old baby can feel incredibly overwhelming.
That’s why I’m taking my experience in a new direction: I bring the professional studio directly to the comfort of your home.
You don’t have to lug a thing or stress about leaving the house. You can stay cozy while I set up my equipment right in your living room.
What to Expect From Your In-Home Session
My absolute highest priority during our time together is to not only make sure your baby is comfortable and safe, but to put everyone at ease. I want your session to feel relaxed, completely unhurried, and genuinely fun, which means I’ll take the time to make friends with energetic older siblings and say a proper hello to your beloved family pets before we even take out the camera.
When it comes to the photos, you never have to worry about looking stiff, as I will gently guide you into natural, flattering positions that focus entirely on real connection. As I am coming to you, the session is completely customisable. We can do a purely lifestyle shoot, using the beautiful, cozy nooks of your own home as the backdrop, or I can bring along my professional studio equipment and wraps for a more crafted, refined look. If you want a perfect mix of both, we can do that too, just let me know what you envision, and we’ll make it happen!
Including the Family
While your brand-new arrival is undoubtedly the star of the show, the magic is truly complete when we capture the world that surrounds them. I love to include parents and siblings in these sessions. There is something incredibly moving about documenting the proud glance between new parents, the excited smile of an older brother or sister, and the sheer scale of a tiny baby cradled in your hands. These aren't just portraits, they are the very first visual chapters of your family’s shared story.
I am also always honoured to capture multi-generational photos, so if grandparents are nearby, we can absolutely include them to document the beautiful bond of three or even four generations welcoming your newest arrival.

Over my many years of working with new families, I have heard just about every concern under the sun. It is incredibly common to have a few questions or minor worries floating around your head before a session. In my experience, these are the five things parents wonder about the most, and exactly why you don’t need to worry about any of them:
• No "perfect" babies required: You don't need a baby who sleeps on cue. If they cry or fuss, we don't rush. Because we are in your home, we have all the time in the world to pause, feed, cuddle, and soothe.
• The "Poopocalypse" is expected: If your baby pees, poops, or spits up on my wraps, my backdrops, or even on me, it is totally okay! I expect it, everything I use is thoroughly sanitized between sessions, and I always bring plenty of backups. It’s just part of the job.
• A note for tired moms: If the thought of being in front of the camera right now feels daunting, please don't worry. I use soft, flattering, natural lighting, and I know exactly how to angle and pose you so you look and feel beautiful, even if you’re running on two hours of sleep.
• Safety is my absolute priority: With 7 years of professional studio experience, I am highly trained in safe newborn posing. I never force a baby into a position. I understand newborn anatomy and always prioritise your baby’s airways, circulation, and joint safety. If they aren’t comfortable with a certain pose, we simply move on to something else. Your baby's comfort dictates the entire shoot.
• Gold-standard hygiene: Because I am coming into your home, you don't have to worry about a crowded studio waiting room or leftover germs from other families. I am fully vaccinated, I wash and sanitize my hands constantly, and every single prop and fabric is freshly laundered in baby-safe detergent before it enters your house.

Your investment includes five masterfully hand-edited, high-resolution digital images delivered in a private online viewing gallery. From there, you will have complete flexibility to select your favourites, with the option to easily upgrade to a larger digital collection or order professional lab-grade prints.

Click the button below to fill out a quick contact form. Tell me your approximate due date and the general style of photos you love, and I will be in touch promptly to chat through dates, details, and answer any questions you may have.
STEP 02
Secure Your Due Date
To officially secure your session a £50 non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking. The remaining balance is then due at least 3 days prior to your shoot. Babies rarely arrive on schedule! We will reserve a provisional slot in my calendar based on your due date. Once your little one makes their official arrival, you just send me a quick message and we will lock in the exact day for your session within those first two weeks.
STEP 03
Relax at Home
I drive out to your home, set up the equipment, and we spend a calm, unhurried morning capturing your beautiful family. You don't even have to change out of your slippers.
STEP 04
The Gallery Reveal
Within 1-2 weeks of your shoot, your private online viewing gallery will be delivered to your inbox. You will have 14 days to look through your beautiful memories, select the images included in your package, or purchase additional digital files and stunning prints.
FAQ
When is the best time to book a newborn session?
The ideal time for newborn photography is when your baby is between 5–14 days old. During this stage, babies are usually sleepier and more easily settled into those natural, curled-up poses. That said, beautiful images can still be captured with older newborns too, so it’s never too late to book.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
That’s no problem at all. Your booking is based on your due date but fully flexible. Just contact me as soon as baby arrives and we’ll adjust your session accordingly.
How long does the session take?
Newborn sessions are completely baby-led and usually take around 2–4 hours. This allows plenty of time for feeding, changing, cuddles, and settling without any rush.
What do we need to do before you arrive?
Please ensure there is a clear space for me to set up my equipment. It really helps if the room we’ll be working in is warm and clutter-free so we can create a calm and comfortable environment for your baby. I will send you a full preparation guide before the day of your shoot with a few helpful tips on how to get baby ready.
What should we wear?
I don’t usually use outfits for newborns, as they can often be too big, and take the focus away from your baby’s natural beauty. Instead, I prefer to use soft blankets to gently wrap and cover them where needed, to create a simple and timeless look. However, if you do have any special outfits you’d like to include, please let me know before the shoot, so we can plan the best time to change baby comfortably. For the rest of the family, simple, neutral colours work best to keep the focus on your baby. Soft tones such as white, beige, cream, and gentle pastels photograph beautifully and help create a cohesive, natural feel throughout your images. If you’re unsure what to wear, I’m always happy to help you plan outfits ahead of your session.
What if my baby won’t settle?
That’s completely normal. I work entirely around your baby’s needs and never rush the process. There will be plenty of time for feeding, cuddling, and soothing. Most of the time, babies naturally settle as the session goes on.
Can siblings and parents be included?
Absolutely. Family and sibling images are a big part of newborn sessions, and I always encourage them. These moments are often some of the most meaningful images from your gallery.
Do we need a big house or lots of space?
Not at all. If you are opting for the in-home studio experience, I only need a small amount of space in a clear area in your home with access to a plug socket to set up my equipment. I can adapt to most home environments.
Do you retouch the images?
Yes, every image you receive is carefully hand-edited in my signature style, with soft, natural tones to keep your gallery timeless and consistent. Newborn skin can often have little flakes, redness, or temporary marks in those early days, so I gently retouch these where needed. My approach is always to keep your baby looking completely natural, never over-edited or artificial. If you have any specific preferences, you’re always welcome to let me know. I want you to absolutely love your final images.
When will I receive my photos?
Your private online gallery will be delivered within 1–2 weeks. You’ll then be able to view your beautifully edited images, and select your favourites.
What if I fall in love with more images than my package includes?
Don't worry, most people do! Once you’ve seen your gallery, you’ll have the option to upgrade or purchase additional images if you’d like more.
